How to Make Money in GTA 5 Online

Money makes the world go round, and in the world of GTA 5 Online, it’s no different. Whether you’re cruising down the streets in a flashy sports car or stocking up on the latest weapons, having a healthy bank account is crucial to dominating the game. Without it, you’ll find yourself struggling to keep up with the competition.

But fear not, because we’ve got you covered with some top tips on how to earn more cash in GTA 5 Online while you wait for the release of GTA 6. From daring heists to VIP missions, we’ve got the inside scoop on the most lucrative methods to help you stack your bank account in no time. So buckle up, grab your controller, and get ready to make it rain in Los Santos.

1. Heists

In GTA Online, heists are considered to be one of the most intricate yet lucrative features of the game. Most players consider heists to be the go-to option for making money in GTA 5 online, and it’s an essential part of the game that every player should try out. Even if you are a novice, earning around $400,000 per hour is an achievable feat. As you advance through the game, the amount of money you can make increases exponentially.

The inclusion of heists is one of the most significant features in GTA 5. Once you attain level 12 and have access to a high-end apartment, you can host special heists that can have up to four participants. These heists consist of a range of missions, with varying levels of difficulty; the reward size changes based on the level of difficulty.

There are five different heists, with the first being relatively simple and providing rewards of $57,000 (Easy), $115,000 (Normal), and $143,500 (Hard). The final heist, The Pacific Standard Job, pays out with a whopping $1 million on Normal, and an even more impressive $1.25 million on Hard, a significant boost to any player’s bank account.

If you have three friends and one of them has a high-end apartment, heists are the best way to make more GTA 5 money. However, all players must have the requisite skill level to complete the missions efficiently. The Doomsday Heists are a good option for smaller groups, but they require a higher initial cost as you have to buy a more expensive facility to start them. Working with online guides and friends who share your goals can help you succeed in these missions.

2. Vehicle Cargo

If you are looking to make money solo in GTA Online, then Vehicle Cargo is the best option for you. The advantage of this game mode is that you don’t need to depend on your teammates and can make up to $300,000 per hour with your own skills.

However, to participate in Vehicle Cargo, you need to have an office building and vehicle warehouses, which can be expensive. But don’t worry, you can quickly earn back your investment even if you don’t play the game frequently.

Focusing on these two aspects, namely the office building and vehicle warehouses, can earn you the most money per hour as a solo player. To maximise your earnings, you need to source all 10 unique standard and mid-range cars without duplicates to fill your warehouse. After that, each source mission will result in a top-range car, which you can export for maximum profit. Continuously sourcing and exporting top-range modded cars will help you earn a significant amount of money with ease.

3. VIP Missions

When you start a business in GTA 5, you gain access to VIP Work, a special menu in the interaction menu where you can select various missions to complete. VIP Missions were introduced to GTA 5 back in December 2015, along with a VIP and bodyguard system. Players can add others to be their bodyguards, with them being paid for their efforts. Bonuses are also given during their “employment,” but more money can be made through VIP missions where bodyguards protect the VIP to complete the mission.

To maximise your earnings, you can grind some of the VIP missions such as Sightseer and Hostile Takeover LSIA. These missions pay $24,000 and $16,000 respectively per completion, and you can earn well over $100,000 per hour by bouncing between them. VIPs can even go it alone during some missions, earning over $20,000 for completing them. Even if you’re not completely focused on the game, you can still earn around 150,000 dollars per hour by completing VIP Missions, making it a good balance between earnings and fun.

The more you play, the more money you can make from these missions, making them a great way to fill the time between vehicle exports or other jobs. While they won’t bring in the same profits as other methods, they are still a solid option for making money in GTA Online.

4. Daily Objectives

This is an area that can be ignored by most, seeing as people have their own activities that they want to get on with, but daily objectives are a great way to make some extra cash while going about your daily business.

They’re not going to give you an exorbitant amount of money per completion – you’ll claim $25,000 for knocking out all three – but with the bonus you get from weekly and monthly streaks, they really add up.

Completing a week’s worth of objectives nets you a $100,000 bonus, while a month’s worth will get you $500,000.

There are a large number of goals, as you can see from this list of daily objectives. Things like playing a game of darts, holding up a store, or performing a stunt jump can be done very quickly; simply complete them as you’re passing through an area in order to get to your main objective.

5. Contact Missions

Speaking of money makers which are usually disregarded, your contact missions are another great way to quickly rack up some extra cash in GTA 5. You’ll be in the middle of something, and you’ll get a phone call from a contact, which you’ll immediately cancel. I know I’m guilty of it – but these should be used more often.

They can also help you rack up a solid amount of RP, helping you level up that much quicker. There’s a full guide to all contact missions available via the GTA Wikia.

For the majority of these missions, you can earn around $20,000 for completing them fully, exceeding the 15 minute mark during the mission, which will come naturally with attempting to beat these are the hardest difficulty.

6. Time Trials

If you’re looking for another to earn big in GTA Online, Time Trials might just be the ticket. However, it’s not just about the amount of time you put in – it’s also about your racing skills. In order to make a decent amount of money, you’ll need to train hard and become a skilled driver.

These races against the clock can be a great way to make some quick cash, much like VIP work. Every week, a new time trial becomes available, and completing it will net you a one-time payout of $50k for just a few minutes of driving. However, some time trials can be quite difficult, so it’s worth checking out online guides for the current week’s challenge. If you’re taking more than 10 minutes to complete a time trial, you’re better off spending your time elsewhere.

Just like VIP missions, new Time Trials are available weekly. The only downside is that you can’t play them all the time, so you’ll need to wait a bit before taking on the next set of challenges. But if you’ve got the skills and the patience, Time Trials can be a great way to boost your bank account in GTA Online.

7. Buying GTA Cash

If some of this stuff seems to be a bit of a grind for you, there’s always another option: buying in-game currency. This allows you to skip other options if you so choose, letting you play the game however you choose, though at an obvious cost.

This is done by plenty of people – many of whom you’ll have seen online as they’re launching helicopters from their private yachts.

The first way you can go about doing this is through the game itself, using GTA Shark Cards. These are done directly through the game, with there being several different cash card options. The most expensive of which – the Megalodon Shark – will set you back a lot of real money.

If you’re looking at getting your in-game currency and and even in-game ranking up at a cheaper price, there are other options, such as our GTA cash packages. These clock in at 60% cheaper than Shark Cards. Alternatively, our GTA boosting services and GTA modded accounts also offer a host of upgrades alongside additional money in GTA 5.
